Role Description

 

The Business Development Manager role at Fastpay will work within a protected geographic territory targeting employer groups with less than 1,000 employees.  We are looking for dynamic individuals that can work in a fast-paced quota driven environment, while utilizing a consultative approach to their sales process.   You will be responsible for self-generating leads through prospecting, telemarketing, and CRM management to achieve monthly and annual sales quotas.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential clients through networking, prospecting, telemarketing, and CRM Management
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with referral sources, like CPA’s, banks, and brokers
  • Meet or exceed agreed upon sales activity and sales targets
  • Record all sales activity in our CRM 
  • Prepare and present proposals, as well as, provide appropriate follow-up throughout the sales process
  • Determine prospective customers’ need for Payroll, HCM and more, followed by presenting Fastpay’s services to meet those needs

Experience & Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in a quota-driven, business to business position
  • Excellent prospecting and new business development skills
  • Strong presentation, written and oral communication skills
  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills to handle objections throughout the sales cycle
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong listening skills and ability to form relationships with senior decision makers
